The Barn serves up more than delicious burgers and fries

The Barn Restaurant and Bar had an arguably rough opening night, back in the beginning of March. But since then, they have ramped up training staff, revised their menu, and have grown into an enjoyable place to take family and friends for a bite to eat. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. The food offered in a variety of options means there is something for everyone- making it easy for even the most eclectic group to dine together happily. This place has accomplished something that most restaurants in town have not—they have been able to offer a calm, casual, kid-friendly atmosphere on the restaurant side, as well as simultaneously provide a bustling, fun, adult area in the bar, complete with pool tables.

The succulent pork wings are delicious, burgers and steaks are perfectly cooked to order, and there is even a delectable Vietnamese Pho noodle soup on the menu. The prices are reasonable, too. If you haven’t yet been there, or went in the beginning during a few of their hiccups, I urge you to give it a go. Call ahead for menu options, as specials can change.

The Barn is located at 93 S. Hall Street, and their phone number is 863-302-5167. Hours of operation are Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., and they are closed on Tuesdays.

My favorite part besides the Hibachi chicken and rice? The giant bull statues that are there to greet you when you arrive. They make for an excellent photo op. Hope to see you all there!
