Golf tourney
Home Missions is hosting a golf tournament at the Glades Resort to send a teen to youth camp. The event will be April 2; $50 per person, includes green fees and lunch, door prizes. longest drive, closest to the pin and a prize giveaway! This a four-man best ball scramble. Women’s Conference
Community Harvest Worship Center will host a women’s conference April 9, 2016. Speaker: Rhonda Williams, evangelist, pastor and prison ministry. All ladies welcome. Theme: Behind the Mask. Friends of the the Library
The first meeting of The Friends of the LaBelle Library will be held April 5 at the Library in LaBelle at 5:30 p.m.

This is a non profit organization under the umbrella of the Library. Its goal and sole function is to raise funds and do good things for the community through the library. Come join and find out all the good ideas we have had presented to make our community a great place to live and raise children. Your ideas and active participation are welcomed.

Yearly dues are: individual $10, couples $15, small business memberships are $50 yearly and corporations and organizations $125 per year.

100 percent of all funds raised will go back into the Library for our community as all board positions are voluntary. Humane society yard sale
Caloosa Humane Society is having a yard sale April 2, 8 a.m. -1 p.m., all proceeds directly benefit the homeless dogs and cats at our shelter! We pride ourselves on our yard sales and thank our generous donors of saleable items that make our monthly event successful. Come see the many new things available (as well as our usual collection of useful and make-you-feel-good stuff) including: Furniture, lots of household appliances/kitchen wares, decorations, clothing & purses, linens, blankets & quilts, crafts, and ALL KINDS of other new arrivals! Neighborhood meeting
Residents with zoning or other county-related questions are invited to a Town Hall meeting April 7 at Primero Iglesia Bautista, 3931 SR 29S, at 6 p.m. Commissioner Darrell Harris and county staff will be available to answer questions about the Case, Evans and A Road area. Mission for hope fundraiser
Pulled Pork & All the Fixin’s: The Community Mission for Hope is sponsoring a fund raising dinner on Saturday, April 9, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Ortona Community Building, 2086 Ortona Locks Road (Highway 78A). The eat-in or carry- out menu consists of delicious pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, rolls and home- made desserts, all for donations of $10 for adults and $5 for children. Funds raised at this charitable event support medical mission work to aid women and children in the northern mountain region of Haiti.

Training is open to anyone who would like to attend and will be held at: Hendry County Emergency Operations Center, 4425 State Road 80-West, LaBelle.

Disaster Behavioral Health First Aid Specialist Training with Veterans (VFAST). Program Aim: To provide disaster responders with the opportunity to develop the essential behaviors and skills to effectively deliver Psychological First Aid to survivors of disaster with a focus on Veterans. VFAST- April 28, 2016, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Riverside Open House
