Kiwanis Thrift Store reopens

The Kiwanis Thrift Store, in LaBelle, will reopen on Monday, May 11, at 10:00 a.m. Their operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. They will have reduced staff, capacity, and donations. But they report that there will also be heavily discounted prices.

“The staff has cleaned and fully stocked the store. We look forward to welcoming everyone back. The health and safety of everyone is our first priority. We are taking extra measures and precautions to reduce the spread of illness,” wrote Mary Pringle, the president of Kiwanis. “We’ll also need everyone’s help to ensure that we maintain a safe and healthy environment for our shoppers as well as our staff.”

They are asking shoppers to maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet, not crowd other customers at the clothes racks or the counters, be courteous of others, and keep children by your side. They also ask that you do not come in to the store if you are sick or have been around anyone who is sick.

“Enjoy your shopping experience. Remember, we are all in this together. We greatly appreciate your patience as well as your patronage during this difficult time. Thank You!” a post on the Kiwanis Thrift store’s Facebook read.
