National Poppy Day is Friday, May 22

American Legion Auxiliary volunteers distribute millions of bright red poppies in exchange for contributions to assist disabled, hospitalized veterans and support local veterans and their families. The “POPPY” is a nationally known and recognized symbol of sacrifice, worn to honor the men and women who served and died for our Country.

On Friday, May 22, American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 130 LaBelle will be having a drive-thru poppy drive in front of American Legion Post 130, located at 699 SR Hwy 80 West, LaBelle. 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. All donations are appreciated, you will be presented with a poppy to wear proudly by Legion and Auxiliary members.
