Participants and Volunteers wanted for Kiwanis Kids’ Day!

Entertainment, activities, bounce houses and games are just some of the fun you can expect at the upcoming Annual Kiwanis Kids Day event that is scheduled for October 19, in Barron Park from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Kiwanis Club of LaBelle’s long time member, Karan Roach says, “This year we have vendors offering fossils, ponies, puppies from the Humane Society, health info, census importance, recycling, fire trucks, Smokey the Bear, K9, cloggers, music and it’s only August!!! I’m feeling this is going to be a great year.”

The event will even have a Bike Rodeo this year! A Bike Rodeo is an exciting, interactive gathering where kids learn to improve their bike handling and traffic safety skills. Kids will get to experience the joys of riding bicycles, while strengthening their skills and learning all about traffic safety.

“For over 20 years the LaBelle Kiwanis Club has sponsored the annual Kiwanis Kids Day event. The event is held every year and is a fun-filled day for the whole family! Lots of things to do, lots of things to see and lots of things to eat! Activities for the kids are always free! Also, local agencies, businesses and community partners provide fun things and educational information for kids and their families,” says Kiwanis Kids Day Chairperson, Brenda Barnes.

Local groups, organizations, and individuals both adults and youth, are invited to participate in the LaBelle Kiwanis Kid’s Day event. Participants can set up a table, volunteer to help during the event, perform on stage, or any number of other activities. If interested, please contact LaBelle Kiwanis at as soon as possible.

“This is a well-attended event which would give your organization the opportunity to interact with a lot of families and provide something fun for the kids in our community! Over the years many businesses, agencies and community partners have participated in this event,” Brenda Barnes added.
