On January 7, 2017, The Quart House was pleased to announce that they celebrated their one-year anniversary. Owners Bryan and Cindi Beer along with Matt Germain would like to thank the community for their continued support. In celebration of their one year anniversary, the Quart House Restaurant will be showing their customer appreciation by offering from their Supper Plates dinner section ‘buy one entrée get the second half off of equal or lesser value’. This will be available Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. dine in only.
The trio put their heads together and developed a business plan that would include utilizing area resources. It is important to all three to keep as much of their product as local as possible. Many items on the menu come from local grove owners, farmers and ranchers. It’s a true farm-to-table establishment.
The interior is colorfully decorated with various pieces of local artwork. The atmosphere of the bar in the back makes for a relaxing venue to enjoy a glass of wine or some craft beer. In the dining room, tables and chairs or large wooden booths offer a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a cool drink served in a large Mason jar. There is even a large room to accommodate private parties and events.
Outside, there are several patio tables and umbrellas to provide seating for many. Whether one is looking for some fresh air or live music, The Quart House is a happening place to be.
The Beer family has quite an extensive history in agriculture. Poultry products served in the restaurant are provided by his son, Bryan’s, venture, Waymore Farms. Patrons will find organic chicken, turkey and eggs on the menu. Also, as a part of the citrus industry, the Beer’s are able to supply fruit products for The Quart House. The Orangeade is off the charts.
Matt’s creative chef background is an integral part of this restaurant. He is known for preparing a very eclectic menu. Whether one is looking for down home southern comfort food or a new twist on old favorite, Matt knows how to knock it out of the park.
Owning a small restaurant has always been a passion of Matt’s. He stated that “I really like doing business in LaBelle because it’s a great community with great people – from the local to the seasonal customers.”
The Quart House is known for giving back to the community. During the month of January, they are partnering with the Caloosa Humane Society to hold a fundraiser for homeless animals. The humane society is in desperate need of all types of donations from food, blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, grooming supplies, pet beds, trash bags and TOYS. They really need toys! Matt is offering anyone who donates any of the above items a free coffee, tea or soda.
The Caloosa Human Society’s mission is to “serve, shelter and protect the homeless pets in our care.” It is a no-kill facility that is dedicated to finding forever homes for animals in needs. They also offer low-cost spay/neuter services in order to help reduce the extreme number of unwanted pets. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Bryan, Cindi and Matt would also like to thank everyone for their participation in last month’s Toys for Tots Drive. Matt stated that “the organizers for our local Toys for Tots program were extremely humbled when they came in to collect all of the gifts and monetary donations.” He wants the community to know that their kind efforts do not go unnoticed.
In an effort to be more accommodating, The Quart House will now be open seven days a week. They will serve lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday. Friday nights they will remain open late and offer live music on the patio performed by Randy Cormier from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. On Sundays, they will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday’s lunch will include specials, regular menu items as well as an omelet and carving station.
