The 2018 Relay For Life of LaBelle would like to thank everyone from LaBelle and surrounding communities that came out to the Civic Center to support our second annual multi team Haunted House fundraiser. We were told people came from Naples, Clewiston, Immokolee and more just to see our show. I must say I am so very proud of the hard work and community spirit that brought so many people together for such a wonderful cause. We had 963 people that walked through our house and many more that just dropped by to give a monetary donation at the door because they were afraid to come inside.
We thank Mr. Mike Boyle and The City of LaBelle for donating the use of the Civic Center for this event. Without a venue this would not have been able to happen. We would also like to thank Mr. Terry Woods for the use of his workers and for being our architect in the design and construction of the house. Mr. Woods was also our voice every night that allowed our cast members to be ready for the people as they were about to enter our house. Thank you to The Hendry County Sheriffs office for allowing us the use of Trustees to help in the final construction of the interior roof. Thank you Hendry County Road & Bridge for designing and delivering the large sign set up on HWY 80 for advertising. And thank you Dave Lyons with Lyons Printing for donating the signs held by our “Street Ghouls” each night of the event. Thank you Mr. Dale Conyers with The Caloosa Belle for running our flyer in the paper free of charge. Thank you to Walmart of LaBelle for donating Halloween decorations for our entrance. Thank you Amanda Nisbet for coming out and taking some wonderful photos of our cast and crews in action!!
We had 117 cast and crew members that put on this event for you putting in 1,914 volunteer hours over a two week time frame in between their own jobs to make this happen. I would like to recognize them by room and Team. New this year in the lobby we set up a table with coin collection buckets that represented each room. We asked our customers to recognize their favorite room by placing pocket change in the bucket representing their favorite. This years Peoples Choice recognition goes to Room 5 Those Chainsaw Clowns Put on by Team Sisters In Faith!!
