Gallery goers were wined and dined while admiring paintings and photographs from 22 local artists during Barron Park House Gallery’s “meet the artists” reception at “Perceptions Art Show” on Friday, November 3. Attendees at the art show also voted for the “People’s Choice” award while talking to local artists about their artwork.

“Barron Park House Gallery is a hidden gem that more and more people are discovering,” said Carol Kraft, whose favorite painting was “Body Parts”, an oil painting by Dorothy R. Foster.

“Art is all interpretation of what you think,” said Kraft, “I see a child doing a yoga pose and looking through their legs. Someone else might think it is something else.”

Before the winners were announced Mike Shough, President of Arts of the Inland Barron Park House Gallery, thanked board members for all their hard work to put on the art show.

“If you don’t have good board members you can’t make it,” said Shough, “We have wonderful board members.”

Shough said they are always looking for new members, artists, and photographers to display their artwork at Barron Park House Gallery.

“We recently expanded to photography which has been really nice,” said Shough, “There is so much wonderful photography out there.”

“We change the art every month,” said Shough, “If you come in next month because it is going to be something totally different.”

Marty Cowen, Board Member of Barron Park House Gallery, announced the winners of “Perceptions Art Show”. Jan Ellen Atkielski, represented by Guess-Fisher Gallery in Naples, a nationally known and professional artist with over 35 years’ experience, judged the artwork.
