‘Out of My Hands’ Magic and Juggling at Barron Library

Barron Library

Barron Library kicks off their summer activities with “Out of My Hands”, presented by Gerard Tricarico, who is both a performer and instructor.

The performance on Saturday, June 4, will include interactive juggling and illusion, light and laser effects, in a high-energy, innovative show that is sure to delight all ages.  The show will begin at 10:30 am.

Immediately following the show, Mr. Tricarico will be holding a juggling workshop for up to 25 tween/teens.

This workshop will not only teach the art of juggling, but will also encourage perseverance, build self-esteem, promote goal-setting skills and allow individuals to express their creativity all while experiencing an aerobic workout.

This show and workshop has been made possible through funding from the newly formed ‘Friends of LaBelle Library’.  Barron Library appreciates the financial support received from the ‘friends’ group.  Yearly dues to join ‘Friends of LaBelle Library’ are:  $10 per individual, $15 per couple, $50 for a business membership and $125 for corporations and organizations.  100% of all funds raised go back to Barron Library.

The library is currently holding two basic computer skills classes, which began Monday, April 11, at 1:30 pm and 6:15 pm.  The classes are kept small so teachers can work individually with each student as needed.  Anyone interested in learning basic computer skills, should contact the library to be added to the waiting list, as the classes will be repeated.

Class size is limited and they fill up fast, so don’t delay.  There is a $20 fee to participate in the class.

A number of events to put on your calendars:

May 7 Cinco de Mayo Event, Celebrating Mexican Culture

May 21 Armed Forces Day

Plan on having your children participate in the library’s summer program, “Wellness, Fitness and Sports”.  Watch for complete details.
