LDRC receives 2018 Main Street America Accreditation

The LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation (LDRC) is proud to announce acceptance into the 2018 Main Street America Accredited Program. Being a Main Street America Accredited community is a mark of distinction that signifies commitment to comprehensive revitalization, community engagement, and rigorous outcome measurement. These are programs or organizations that have a proven track record of success in planning, implementing, and measuring results that align with the Main Street Approach and have met a series of rigorous accreditation standards.

Each year, the National Main Street Center and its Coordinating Program partners announce the list of accredited Main Street America programs in recognition of their exemplary commitment to preservation-based economic development and community revitalization through the Main Street Approach. LDRC is honored to be recognized as one of the communities that has shown the commitment to our revitalization efforts.

Since LDRC was established, we have welcomed several successful businesses into the downtown district and the development continues to grow. Thanks to the support of our community through sponsorship and fundraising, we were able to install lighting, benches, and trash receptacles throughout Downtown LaBelle. LDRC partners with our local church, businesses, and artists to enhance the community through fundraising events, murals, a community board, and holiday celebrations. With the continued support that we receive, we plan to continue our vision for a revitalized downtown that promotes economic development, a sense of community, and a foundation for strategic growth.
