LaBelle High School’s Sports Round-Up for 11-12-15

(11/9/2015 – 11/14/2015)

The Cowboy Varsity Football Team beat Moore Haven this past Friday 41-28 on Homecoming to seal their season record at 5-5 (3-3). Great season Coach Siner, coaching staff and Cowboys!

The Cowboy and Cowgirl Cross Country teams competed at the FHSAA State Championship in Tallahassee this past weekend and finished 4th and 21st, respectively, in their classification. This is the second year in a row that the Cowboys finished 4th in the state in the FHSAA 2A classification and the best placing the Cowgirls ever accomplished! Way to go Coach Frost, Coach McClain, Cowboys and Cowgirls!

The Cowgirl Varsity Soccer Team beat Imagine School of North Port 4-3 and fell to Fort Myers 0-10 this past week, bringing their record to 1-2-1. The Cowgirls will face district opponent Oasis this upcoming week.

Last Week (11/2 – 11/7)
The Cowboy Soccer Team hosted district opponent Oasis on Tuesday, 11/10, at 7 p.m. and travel to Sebring on Friday, 11/13, for JV and Varsity matches that begin at 5 and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

The Cowgirl Soccer Team hosted Fort Myers on Monday, 11/9, beginning at 6 and 7:30, respectively, district opponent Oasis on Tuesday, 11/10, at 5 P.m. and Glades Day on Thursday, 11/12, at 7 p.m. Let’s go Cowgirls!

The Cowgirl Basketball Team will have their home opener against Riverdale on Friday, 11/13, for JV and Varsity matches beginning at 6 and 7:30 P.m., respectively. Good luck Cowgirls!
