LaBelle Parade shows support for the Class of 2020

LaBelle – While it was not an officially school-sanctioned event, LHS Seniors paraded through town on the evening of Saturday, May 16, accompanied by the HCSO. The parade route followed along the streets where all the 2020 Senior yard signs have been posted, in honor of the hardworking students and the unique challenge they’ve all faced this year. Cars were decorated with balloons, streamers, and posters. Crowds of supportive friends and families gathered along the route to cheer the seniors on.

“We came out to support them all, because we know how important their achievements are!” one happy mother said, while jumping up and down and yelling, “Congratulations!” as the vehicles passed by.

The seniors were smiling and happy to see all who showed up, one senior saying, “This is great. It’s been really hard to end the year the way we have, but we really love that everyone is out there yelling and screaming for us.”

The yard signs featuring each graduating senior remain posted, along 80 and 29, to show the support from our community for the Class of 2020.
